Palm Beach R/C Power Boaters
South Florida's Premier R/C Model Boat Club
Welcome to the home of the Palm Beach R/C Power Boaters.
The Palm Beach R/C Power Boaters club was formed in the late 1970’s at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Florida. In the beginning, it was an informal gathering; just a place where people could go to run their remote control boats and meet friends. Since then, the club has grown into a non-profit organization and is sanctioned by the North American Model Boat Association (NAMBA). The club currently hosts one of the largest annual r/c races in the southeastern United States. Our races consist of various classes of gas or nitro-powered remote control boats. Some of these boats reach speeds of 70+ miles per hour! It is an exciting, family-oriented sport.
The Palm Beach R/C Power Boaters and the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Parks & Recreation Department worked together recently to relocate the club’s race site to accommodate the club’s growing needs. We are pleased to announce the new location is at West Delray Regional Park, located at Palm Beach Downs Blvd and W. Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.
We will be hosting our annual r/c race on November 10 & 11, 2007.
